Ride the Wave...Heading out and getting home on the Surf Coast is now even easier

I bet you’re looking forward to all your Christmas drinks, dinners and break-ups in your diary in the coming month? But then the reality hits about the choices you have to make about getting there and home… if alcohol is involved! Ride The Wave, Surf Coast shuttle has just changed all that!

Ordinarily the options would be… do we leave the car, do we drive and catch a cab home (if you can get one this time of year!), who’s not going to drink and drive home… you know what I’m talking about, don’t you? As your Neighbour, we are all about ensuring you enjoy your Christmas and New Year celebrations safely, and this might just be the way to ensure you do that…

As of Friday 22nd November 2013, heading out and getting home from entertainment venues across the Surf Coast will be easier with the launch of Ride The Wave – shuttle bus and charter service.

Ride The Wave will run on Friday and Saturday nights from November to April, and take customers to a selection of venues and bus stops from The Sands through Torquay and Jan Juc – what a brilliant idea!

Growlers, Front Beach Café, Torquay Hotel, Bells Beach Hotel, Peppers Sands Resort and Bird Rock are all supporting the service, with Ride The Wave dropping off and collecting patrons every hour.

Their aim is to service venues, whilst also offering a door to door service for group bookings. This will result in safe, affordable and prompt venue transport.

Ride The Wave is also available for charter; catering to functions, events, staff Christmas parties, weddings, winery tours, and airport transfers.
